Cochrane Summaries Receives Award

Cochrane Summaries Receives Award

The Campaign for Plain English helps organisations make their public information as clear as possible to their audience. This year, the Cochrane Summaries website (https://summaries.cochrane.org) received the runner-up award for its use of plain language summaries to explain medical research.

The Campaign for Plain English awarded the prize to The Cochrane Collaboration at a ceremony at The Cavern Club in Liverpool, UK on 9th December 2011. Catherine McIlwain and Frances Kellie accepted the award on behalf of The Collaboration. For more information about the award, read our blog entry, Leading Medical Research Non-Profit Wins Plain Language Award.

Well done to all our consumer referees who contributed to the plain language summaries!
